Village Voice review by Jim Macnie

Joe Fiedler Trio – The Crab (CF 092)
With The Crab, the trombonist has made one of the small group jazz discs of the year. His trio uses all sorts of rhythmic subtleties to imply grooves and establish forward motion, and the brrrrs, buzzes, and brapps that Fiedler integrates have an utterly natural feel.
